Meet Scott Bradbrook

About

Scott Bradbrook is an author, editor, proofreader, and copywriter in Adelaide, South Australia. When he isn’t adding to his never ending TBR pile, sharpening his salsa skills, or working on his latest WIP, he is establishing his place within the professional creative industry, connecting with likeminded individuals to change the world one word at a time.

Writing his first book, Take it From A Teenager, at a young age, Scott went on to publish it a few days shy of his 19th birthday and second year at The University of Adelaide. Completing his Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) in 2021, with majors in Creative Writing and Mathematical Sciences, as well as an Honours degree in Creative Writing in 2022, Scott continues to refine his writing practice and editing skills.

Inspired by the oddly unnormal, the spectacularly strange, and the wonderfully weird, Scott enjoys writing in the genres of fantasy and magical realism, tackling complex concepts in new and unique ways. Whether it’s humanising the nonhuman, mixing magic with science, or retelling stories from a new perspective, Scott seeks to investigate the “what if’s” of fiction and the possibilities of the written word. When he isn’t writing, he is working as a freelance editor, copywriter, and proofreader, aiding others in making their literary dreams a reality.

Between playing with his dog, watching movies with friends, and spending time with family, Scott is continuously writing and generating new ideas for publications.
